It's been a while, hasn't it?  Sorry to keep you waiting!  We hope you've all been enjoying our work with Over-Time on Kamen Rider Drive lately!

But back to the 70's...

NeoShocker sends two monsters to Japan to obtain a dangerous new serum-- one that can turn human beings into vegetables!  This sounds crazy, but when you realize that they want to use these vegetables to feed their army of monsters... well, it's still crazy.  But evil and crazy!  Can Skyrider alone stop OctoGang and MantoKong?

This episodes marks the debut of fan favorite (although not so much back when this came out) comic relief character GanGanG, your typical well meaning blowhard who's out of his element.  Personally, I love his wacky hijinks.  If you're worried about a change of tone on the show, you'll be fine.  That ship sailed back when Hiroshi got his power ups.  It's still the same great action, and the same great late Showa style.

And get ready for a special guest!

The crossover free-for-all continues, as Skyrider teams up with Riderman to take down a twisted NeoShocker plot!
NeoShocker's New York operative Rattagon has devised an army of drones to delivery a deadly poison to the people of Japan!  Meanwhile, a young friend of Shigeru's stumbles on to Rattagon's plot and gets caught up in NeoShocker's treachery!  Will Skyrider and Riderman be able to stop NeoShocker's plot before the whole country is wiped out?!

Kamen Rider Skyrider episode 32!

First of all, welcome back Skyrider!  It's been a while.

Admiral Demon, GoldJaguar, and WolfsbaneTron have defeated Skyrider. A poison arrow has put him out of commission so that NeoShocker can continue using slave labor to build a statue of the Great Demon, and summon Great Leader.
But Keisuke Jin, the X-Rider, might have something to say about all of this...
The long-awaited conclusion to the thrilling two-parter, officially kicking off Skyrider's crossover arc!

You'll notice a few new things.  First, the new typsetting.  Nothing crazy, just some very appropriate font suggestions thanks to Ignis from Over-Time. She worked hard on this, and we really appreciate it!
And the big one, this is the first Skyrider episode where we're using Bunnyhat's raws, and MAN can you see the difference... the video quality on these episodes is gorgeous.  A big thanks to Bunnyhat for providing them!

We're going to be releasing more Skyrider soon, so check back in soon!  But up next (tomorrow night, actually) is Akumaizer-3!  We'll see you soon!

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I think we might go MKV only for our V2 releases. That means that we won't be reencoding any AVIs for older episodes.  New releases will still have a dual release, though.
This is going to save a lot of time as we work on getting our older releases (which are quite a few!) on par with our newer stuff.

Expect to start seeing those soon, as we start to wind down on our work with Over-Time and Midnight crew on Jojo (yes, it was us, big surprise) and we start thinking about the future. And expect those Stronger V2s to be in full swing in the coming months.

Kamen Rider Skyrider episode 31!

This is a bit of a truncated release, so please forgive me.  I'm at NYCC this weekend, so if anyone else is attending, please feel free to come say hello!  But that means I have, like, two seconds to update things.  Ooops!

So, this is a fun episode.  Fun being the key word here...  it's the first half of a two-parter, and has a very different tone than we've seen before.  It's hard to pinpoint, but there almost something tongue in cheek about this episode.  But on the other hand, there's a lot of cool stuff.  Great location shots, the appearance of Golden Jaguar, a battle on horseback... and the appearance of a very cool cameo.

It was especially fun for us, because this cameo just so happens to come from KITsubs very first project together!

Before I go, have a fun fact:  The villain this episode is called "Torikabutoron"
As you can see above, I went with "WolfsbaneTron" for the translated name.  Torikabuto is the Japanese name for Wolf's Bane, a particularly toxic plant that our monster of the week just so happens to look like?
But what else does he look like...
Tori Kabuto can also be translated as "Bird" and "Helmet."

What fun!

Kamen Rider Skyrider episode 30!

It's been a while!  But here we are, back with another batskunk crazy episode of Skyrider.  Seriously.  Bat. Skunk.  Crazy.
In this episode, a boy from South America and a Tapir have magical powers, and a class of grade school students are subjected to sheer psychological torture.  Possessed by a dark bloodlust, they go on a mission to slaughter adults.
This is seriously one of the craziest episodes we've done.

So is it any good?  Well, yeah!  The crazier the better!  And what's more entertaining than a bunch of murderous children?  We also get to see some new Skyrider attacks, and Admiral Demon making drunken jokes that aren't very funny.  Ah, c'est magnifique.  A superb sampling of nut ball Showa Rider action.

So that's it.  Now we're back to another three months of hibernation.
I mean, NO!  We're going to be back soon with some of those episodes on that INCREDIBLY long to-do list on the right, over there.  Probably some Stronger.  Also, if you check out our releases page, you'll see that we added entries for the entire backlog of Stronger.  We'll be getting to that soon.  Now that it's officially a KITsubs project (still being overseen by MCS members) we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work.

So we'll see you again MUCH sooner than we made you wait last time.  Promise.  Pinky swear, even!

Kamen Rider Skyrider episode 29!

If you were worried that things would get silly during the second half of Skyrider, then you were wrong.  At least for now, anyway.  This episode is messed up.  At face value it seems really silly.  Especially the part with the silly Halloween masks.  But once you realize that's part of the plot, then you can let the actual gravity of the story settle in.  We've got an ancient mummy enslaving children to kill people in Japan.  Pretty standard fare for NeoShocker, to be honest.  But it's the way he does it, and the way the kids attack people... that clicking will haunt your soul!
But don't take my word for it.  Check it out for yourself!

This episode also marks the first time we see the new opening and ending theme.  The new opening is cool!  And the ending... well, it's an ending theme all right.  We did the best we could with it...

Anyway, this is another great action episode.  Hiroshi loses his cool  towards the end and goes full-on Batman at one point.  You'll see what I'm talking about.  When you do, just ask yourself this... "Where did the Captain go?"

Dark stuff, man.  Dark stuff.  But it's all in the name of fun!

Kamen Rider Skyrider episode 28!

    Here we are, the end of Skyrider's second arc.  The stakes are at their highest as NeoShocker and their 2nd Generation Monster Army are moving to destroy Japan.  Last episode, the Legendary Seven Riders came to the aid of Hiroshi just in the nick of time.  Now they are entrusting their special training to their new comrade, officially named Skyrider, to defeat GranBazami. 
    This episode will be the last time we see a lot of things.  The opening and ending, for one... and this is the last time we see Skyrider's first costume!  The new one is... less than impressive.
We also get to see the Riders' special training, a sequence that is genuinely one of the best in the series.      The whole build up and the training itself is such a cool moment in the series.  And it's always great to see all of the Riders team up!

I have to apologize again for the extended hiatus.  It was all on me.  Sky and UK Windom were still around, and I was the one wasting time with all of their hard work on these episodes.  Last minute renovations in my apartment caused the delay, this was AFTER the previous renovations.  But now everything's done, and the furniture is all moved back in, and things have settled down.  No more delays.

As a matter of fact, we're working on three projects right now.  Our next release, Kamen Rider 28 (where I'll introduce some new team members,) Stronger 27, and a special joint project between ourselves and Over-Time!  I won't spoil what it is, but I will say that tonight's release isn't the last time we're going to see the Legendary Seven for a while...

It's been a while!  If you want to know where we've been, and why this update has taken so long, check the last update.  And Facebook, where I've done plenty of complaining about how hectic things have been!

In this episode, NeoShocker pulls out all of the stops.  Two action commanders, two plans to destroy Japan, an army of reconstructed monster cyborgs, and a tank that can shoot neo-nuclear warheads!  How will Skyrider be able to stop them?
Spoiler... he won't!  By himself, anyway...

These next few episodes officially introduce Skyrider into the pantheon of Kamen Riders.  It also serves to differentiate him from the Riders he was originally an homage to!  That includes a costume change, coming up very soon, that leaves much to be desired.  Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of the original costume.  But, such is life...

We're back on track now, so far.  So expect more episodes soon.  That goes for our regular releases, and our joint project with Midnight Crew for Kamen Rider Stronger.  Thanks for being so patient!

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 26!

As much of a spoiler as that picture looks like it is, it really isn't.  This episodes is played for jokes a lot of the time, and the whole thing just seems like filler.  Granted, it's filler that builds up to next episode (which, if you stick around for the next episode preview, you'll see why that's so cool) so we can forgive it.

The story here is really all over the place.  NeoShocker plans to unleash a viral epidemic.  But also they want to turn schools into fortresses to surround Tokyo.  We see AntCommandos acting silly, Hiroshi fighting with chains (more than once) and X and Riderman teaming up for no apparent reason whatsoever.  But it's all in good fun!  And the fight scenes in this episode are top notch.

And, like I said, next episode is going to be a big one.

BUT, we'll have to wait on that one.  You guys know how much I like to prolong the wait on these milestone episodes.  So next week's episode is Kamen Rider 27!

Monster Name Trivia Time!
This week's monster is "Dokuganba" in Japanese.  You might recall that we've already met a few DokuganDAs recently, between Kamen Rider and Stronger (with Midnight Crew Subs)
The only difference here is that ba syllable.  Normally we'd translate the name to ToxicMothra.  The reason being that the DA sound is just a sci-fi-make-em-up sounding syllable.  And of course a dokugan is a poisonous moth.  But here, there's a pun at work.  The ganba here is short for "ganbaru," which is a common japanese phrase you've probably heard in a million different places.  With the help of the crew in #sht we tried to figure out what the pun could possibly mean (a hard working moth?  a moth made of rocks?) until it finally dawned on me.  It can also mean "endure," and tonight's episode is about another poisonous moth... but THIS time the toxin is contagious.  So an enduring toxin... like an epidemic!  Which is exactly what this episode is about.
Being a vocabulary nerd, I went with "MiasMoth." Because of the amorous affect of alliteration, and also because miasma is my favorite obscure word for a viral outbreak.

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 25!

WATCH THIS EPISODE.
Yes, it looks silly.  Yes, it starts off silly.  But it's going to make you love Hiroshi as a character so much in the end.  Even I, someone who brushed this episode off as useless filler, was completely absorbed by how INSANE and DARK this episode got.  It's definitely a Kamen Rider episode that will go down in history as being one of "THOSE" episodes.
And if you feel nothing by the ending, then you are no friend of justice!

Things are running pretty smoothly for now, knock on wood.  Torrents are working well, DDLs in both locations are stable, and we've got more people watching than ever.  Thanks for all of your support over the past few weeks!

For this release, we have Skyrider 24!  In this episode, a disillusioned scientist is a jerk to his little sister.  But that's ok, because she starts hearing voices due to the horrible way he treats her.  No, seriously...
Skyrider won't stand for MosquitopoxMan's plan to poison all of Japan, and exploit the work of an emotionally unstable young scientist.  This is one of the best Skyrider episodes we've released, trust me!

So, you want to watch Skyrider but you haven't seen ANY of it yet?  Well, remember what I said about being busy... tonight, we ALSO have batch torrents for ALL of Skyrider.  Everything we've released so far.  Tonight's episode is included in the Episodes 13-24 batches.  There is no individual torrent for episode 24.  If you want to download that episode by itself, just get the batch torrent, and uncheck all of the episodes you DON'T want.  See, it was simple!

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 23!

That screenshot says it all.  What a way to celebrate coming back from vacation than with a double serving of Rider Kicking?  All things said, this isn't as momentous an occasion as Stronger's appearance a few episodes ago, but we're starting to establish a status quo for the Riders here.

Also, we have yet another episode of Japanese media with a plot involving "Human Bombs."  I always find this particular trope to be kind of gruesome for a children's show.  All "shows for babies" jokes aside, it's a pretty harsh concept to wrap your head around!

OH, and if you like Kamen Rider V3...
You should check out Generation Kikaida (dot com.)  They sell the complete series of Kamen Rider V3, subtitled in English, with TONS of trivia, background information, and special features.  They're a great company, and they do a lot to bring classic Tokusatsu to DVD in the US.  It would mean a lot to them (and us!) if you would support any official English language releases of shows like Kamen Rider V3.  Or Kikaider, Kikaider 01, and Inazuman (my personal favorite!)

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 22!

We're back with another episode! Consider this a celebration of getting over 1,000 fans on our facebook page.  You guys are the best!  Thanks for watching.
In this episode, Skyrider faces off against an Abominable Snowman on a mission to kidnap a little girl that will somehow help him freeze Tokyo...  Of course, this makes sense in context, but it sure is wacky.  And for such a comedic episode, this one gets a little GRUESOME at times!  I know I found myself looking on in awe a few times...  a show for babies, indeed.
Also, we get to see Hiroshi's bike transform into Sky Turbo for the first time in the series (I think...) and an all new special attack!  Come for the exciting Rider action, stay for the saran-wrap ice effects!

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 21!

Part 2 of Skyrider's first encounter with another Kamen Rider.  Can Stronger and Skyrider stop JellyFission and RhinoDump's two-pronged attack on Tokyo?  Admiral Demon has a trick up his sleeve to make sure that they fail.  Will they be able to overcome his cunning new plan?  (Yeah, probs...)

This is also the first time we officially hear our hero referred to as "Skyrider."

    Here's an interesting bit of trivia from Sky79, who found this information while researching something on the japanese wikipedia entry for Skyrider:  Apparently, Skyrider's signature move, the Rider Break (which is featured at the end of Let's Go Kamen Riders!) was written into the show because of a small accident.
    It seems that Hiroshi Tsukuba's actor, Hiroaki Murakami, didn't have a motorcycle license when he auditioned for Skyrider.  He didn't even know how to ride a motorcycle.  But being able to ride a motorcycle was (obviously) required for the role, so the producers told him to try anyway.
    And as the story goes, he rode the bike into a crowd of people and couldn't stop, almost crashing into a wall.  The producers, having just witnessed what could have been a horrible accident, decided that it would make a really awesome ability for the Rider to have.  So so, the Rider Break was born!

    And speaking of trivia, Skyrider's training sequence here is one you might recognize.  Plenty of riders have used an aerial flip to power up a Rider Kick.  But why does it work?  Well, in the original series, the turbine in the belt powered the Rider.  It cause Hongo to transform, and it gave him more power when he's fighting an enemy.  An aerial flip spins the turbine even more, powering up the impact of the Rider Kick!  We even see this referenced in more recent series, most notably of which in Kuuga, where we get a very Showa-esque training sequence where Godai improves his own finishing move!

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 20!

This is it.  The end of our much-longer-than-summer Skyrider mini marathon!  And what an episode to end on.  With this episode, the series shifts into high gear.  The stakes have never been higher for Skyrider as he faces off against two cyborg warriors; one from India, and one from Hong Kong.  And to make matters worse, they're ten times stronger than any other enemy that Skyrider has ever faced.
But the tides are turned on this two against one fight, and the odds get a little more even.

Needless to say, this is an amazing episode.  And one we've been excited about for a while now.

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 19!

This episode...  is fun.  That's about the most I can say for it.  It's an obvious filler episode, to build up some time before next episode's BIG reveal.  And the costume for WolfMan is obviously a bare-budget one (again, next week's are very impressive!) But... that's part of the charm!  It's a silly monster movie episode with a sassy British wolf and his giant megaphone.  And if you go into it expecting that, you won't be disappointed.

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 18!

Yeah, I guess he's pretty cool.  He's got a menacing face, and a neat costume...  but he's no General Monster.

Behold ShockrayMan!  The Electric Ray that's named (in Japanese) after a Sting Ray, and looks like a Manta Ray.  Also; he dances and says BIDDIBIDDIBIDDI.  Excellent.  His plan is as convoluted as his backstory, too.  But that's ok.  As usual, this is another great episode.  But we have to talk about something...  the new girls.  Why do Showa Rider shows do this to us?  They get us used to these girls, we grow to like them, and then they snatch them away from us and replace them with inferior replacements that bumble their way through their introductions.  Enough, I say!  Stop the madness!

We're back on track with Skyrider, and Rider 1, now that we're done with those Net Movies.  So expect more, soon!

Oh, yeah... about those Net Movies.  We're not really done with them.  Upon further review, we've found some translation errors in some of the episodes.  Not "oh, it's just a typo, but we'll fix it for the rerelease anyway." More like, "this is a mistake that changes the meaning of the episode."  Which is much more important, and should be corrected asap.  So we're going to release individual V2s as we find them.  Starting with episode 36, Rider 1's rant about what makes a Kamen Rider.

This is it.  The final showdown between Skyrider, and General Monster.  Having been presented with the Red Eye ultimatum last episode, this is General Monster's last chance to defeat the thorn in NeoShocker's side.

Kamen Rider Skyrider Episode 16!

Everything seemed to be working against this episode's release, but it's finally out!  So that screen cap is particularly appropriate.

This episode is the begining of the end for part 1.  Skyrider faces off against his toughest enemy yet; a monster so strong, that even the Sky Kick is useless against him.  And NewShocker's great leader presents General Monster with an ultimatum.  And in the end, a mysterious new enemy appears!

These next few episodes will see the end of part one, and some exciting surprised for Rider fans.  So stick around, because this story might be ending, but Skyrider is just getting started!

As with episode 5, this episode had an error in the raw.  Visually, you can notice it around 9:53 in the episode.  I fixed the corrupted part of the video, allowing the file to be encoded and muxed, but doing so removed a small part of the video.  Nothing that you would notice, aside from the pixelation, but it does change the time codes slightly.  So that means that this script release will ONLY work with our version of the raw.  It might work up until the point that the error happens, but after that it will be out of sync.
